Alexey Chernov

Born in 1982, Alexey Chernov began studying at the Central Special Music School of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire at the age of four. He studied there with N. Rogal-Levitskaya, Kira Shashkina, and Natalia Troull. He continued his studies with Vanessa Latarche at the Royal College of Music in London from which he graduated in 2011.

Alexey’s prizes include 1st Prize at 27th Pozzoli International Piano Competition (Seregno, Italy 2011), 2nd Prize at Cleveland International Piano Competition (USA, 2011), 5th Prize at Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition (Moscow, Russia 2011), 3rd  Prize at  the Maria Canals Competition (Barcelona, Spain, 2011), 1st Prize at the Campillos International Piano Competition (Spain, 2010), 1st Prize at the A. M. A. Alexey has performed as a soloist with conductors Enrique Batiz, Alexander Sladkovsky, Mikhail Pletnev, Ravil Martynov, Dmitry Orlov, and many others.  He performs in concerts and at music festivals all over Europe and Russia.
