2024 Artists Competition

2024 Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition

June 16-29, 2024

Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Every few years, the world’s most promising pianists convene in Salt Lake City for the prestigious Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition to compete for prestige, cash, and prizes.

The Artists Competition returns in June 2024, marking 48 years of welcoming the world’s most elite pianists to Utah.

Pianists ages 19-32 will be invited to perform in one of five international cities as part of the Preliminary Round: Buenos Aires, Hamburg, Hong Kong, New York City, and Salt Lake City.

36 pianists will continue on to Salt Lake City in June 2024 to compete for more than $105,000 US in prizes.

Twelve will be chosen to perform a new composition by acclaimed composer Gabriela Frank in the Semifinal Round.

Three pianists will be invited to compete in the Final Round, each performing twice with the Utah Symphony in two evenings of concerto performances.

We invite all eligible pianists to apply!

Applications are due September 15, 2023.
