Elsie Lu

Elsie Lu began studying piano at the age of five with Rada Bukhman and is currently a pupil of Dr. Sasha Starcevich.  Elsie won first prize at the 2021 Canimex Canadian Music Competition, and the platinum prize at the 2022 Grand Metropolitan International Music Competition. She was the gold medalist at the US Northwest Chopin Festival, the Seattle Pacific NW Piano Competition, and the Steinway Canada Young Artist Competition. Elsie has performed concertos with various orchestras, including the Virtuosi Brunensis, the Orchestra of MusicFest Perugia, and the Bellevue Symphony. As an active performer in her community, Elsie has played for Richmond Grace Alliance Church and Seattle Pacific Regent Seniors Home. Elsie enjoys exploring all mediums of art. Her poems were published in the book Intuition, and her paintings were published in the music collection book The Magic Link.
