2014 International Artists Competition Competition

39 pianists, aged 19-32, representing 14 countries were chosen from over 200 international applicants for 2 explosive weeks of competition. Awards include $80,000 cash, recording contract on the Arkiv Music label, and concert engagement at Weill/Carnegie Recital Hall.

 

All competitors will perform two rounds at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in Salt Lake City before 12 Semi- Finalists are selected. Three Finalists will be announced on June 21st and they will perform with the Utah Symphony on June 25th at Abravanel Hall.

INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS COMPETITION PRIZES
FIRST PRIZE
Cash Award of $40,000 and Commemorative Gold Medal New York Concert Engagement at Weill/Carnegie Recital Hall Recording Contract on the Arkiv Music label (donated by Steinway & Sons) Solo Concert Engagement at the 2016 Shanghai International Piano Festival and Institute Solo Concert Engagement at the 2015 Eastman International Piano Festival Concerto Engagement with the Utah Symphony Additional International Concert and Master Class Engagements Bachauer CD Recording of selected repertory
SECOND PRIZE
Cash Award of $20,000 and Commemorative Silver Medal Selected International Concert and Master Class Engagements Bachauer CD Recording of selected repertory
THIRD PRIZE
Cash Award of$10,000 and Commemorative Bronze Medal Selected International Concert and Master Class Engagements Bachauer CD Recording of selected repertory
SEMI-FINALIST PRIZE
Cash Award of $1000 to each of the nine remaining competitors who reached the Semi-Finals
AUDIENCE FAVORITE PRIZE
Cash Award of $1000 to the audience favorite chosen from the three Finalists
