The famed Italian pianist and Bachauer laureate presents a varied and colorful program featuring Beethoven’s Appassionata Sonata, Chopin’s Polonaise-Fantaisie, and the complete set of Rachmaninoff’s Moments Musicaux.

BACHAUER LAUREATE AND JUROR
Pasquale Iannone
A pianist of international renown, Pasquale Iannone graduated from the N. Piccinni Conservatory in Bari, Italy and the Royal College of Music in London, England. He studied with Aldo Ciccolini, Eugenio Bagnoli, Marisa Somma and Gregorio Goffredo.

He has won prizes in several international competitions including the Alfredo Casella Competition in Napoli (Italy - 1989), Carlo Zecchi Competition in Rome (Italy – 1991), Gina Bachauer Competition in Salt Lake City (USA – 1994), and New Orleans Competition (USA - 1995).

Mr. Iannone has extensively played as recitalist, soloist with orchestra, duo piano performer and chamber musician in Italy, USA, Japan, Germany, Romania, Spain, Belgium, Turkey, South Africa, France, South Korea, England, Venezuela, and Mexico. His recordings for the Phoenix Classical label have been well received.
